Warehouse Supervisor

2nd Shift (11:00am - 7:30pm)

D&H Distributing, established in 1918, is a leading distributor of computer, electronics, housewares, home entertainment and sporting goods products to businesses in the U.S. and Canada.  D&H is an EMPLOYEE OWNED Company with an exciting opportunity to join our Team. Our ideal candidate must have 2-5 years of supervisor experience preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.   

In the Supervisor role, you will be responsible for all aspects of production for assigned department. The Supervisor will foster a well-trained and motivated staff to follow facility procedures, policies and assure we continue to provide excellent customer service to our partners.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the daily activities of an assigned functional area (receiving, shipping, inventory control, picking or packing) within the distribution center. 
  • Scheduling and assigning work to employees.
  • Evaluating proper staffing levels within the functional area.
  • Maintaining a balanced workload. 
  • Monitoring the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and productivity expectations are met.
  • Provide ongoing training/retraining of employees who do not meet standards. 
  • Analysis of reports, summaries and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday. 
  • Administration of policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner. Professionally address issues with employees utilizing the proper resources.
  • Promote safety, cleanliness and good organization of your department.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all co-owners and departments, including the corporate office.

Job Requirements


  • Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages (WMS system) and MS Office proficiency
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • May operate motorized equipment (pallet jack, forklift, order picker, reach truck, etc.)
  • Keeps work area neat, clean and hazard free.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
