Strategic Initiatives Manager-Corporate Projects (non-IT) Position

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead critically important, higher impact, time-sensitive efforts to drive execution on strategic initiatives (e.g., growth, margin, cost management and working capital).
  • Partner with executives in 1) developing/scope new opportunities that fit under the four strategic pillars and 2) driving the execution of highly complex strategic, organizational and operational initiatives including risk management and implementation tactics.
  • Influence and coach executives and teams by presenting compelling analyses and recommendations that build the business case for new strategic initiatives and the execution of existing initiatives.
  • Provide strong leadership, develops and sets individual and team goals, and acts as a change agent and leader.
  • Contribute to full projects /workstream(s) end-to-end that are critical to our transformation
  • Leverage a data-driven approach to turn insights from the team into recommendations for the assigned initiatives.
  • Develop and track reporting against initiative objectives and results including setting savings goals and tracking savings achieved.
  • Bring process mapping and re-engineering expertise and tools to both internal and external facing Strategic Initiatives (e.g., best practices, approach, templates).
  • Update Executive-level presentations summarizing progress, status and risks

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business , MBA preferred
  • Management consulting experience a plus
  • Leading multiple agile “pilot/test/learn” initiatives concurrently
  • Excelling in a highly matrixed environment with ability to work across multiple business units, a plus
  • 5-7 years of work experience in Consulting, Strategic Initiatives , or related fields, ideally with relevant experience in project management, business process management and data-driven decision making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Word
  • Black Belt or Green Belt Certified
  • PMI Certified an asset
  • People Change Management certification - Prosci or ADKAR an asset
