Human Resources Manager – Harrisburg, PA Distribution Center

leader to join our team!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of human resource functions including  recruiting, employee relations, workers compensation management and safety, training and development, coaching and mentoring for a facility with approximately 150 employees. 
  • Compliance with federal, state and local employment laws requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Exhibiting a motivating management approach that encourages change and creative problem solving.
  • Coaching supervisors on proper responses to employee activities, both recognizing positive situations and addressing negative situations.
  • Partnership with management to support safety endeavors and manage the workers compensation process.
  • Training and development of management team.
  • Oversight of human resource functions for a separate returns center with approximately 30 employees.
  • Supervision of office support personnel.
  • Administration of policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner. Professionally address issues with employees utilizing the proper resources.
  • Excellent communication with all employees to ensure that they receive all information necessary for success including orientation, benefit enrollments, and company updates.
  • Excellent organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills, including understanding when it’s necessary to operate with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to ensure that deadlines are met in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment.
  • Ability to perform clerical and administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail.

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with co-owners, internal departments, including the corporate office and external

 

 

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Oversee all tasks that generate from your own department.
  • Must be able to motivate your team, evaluate their results and coach through deficiencies that may present themselves.
  • 4 years of Human Resource Management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of time keeping systems.
  • Flexibility to support a three shift operation, as needed.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, bi-lingual is a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to build a strong team.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and/or complete employment forms. 
  • Fulltime position (40+ hours per week), Overtime, Weekends, Holidays, as required.
